SUSTAINABILITY
Each of our products is made from a combination of recycled materials and sustainable fibers. The practices used to extract virgin materials are more sustainable for water use, greenhouse gas emissions, ecosystems, and workers. The methods for recycling materials allow waste to be reused in the system, reducing the need for virgin materials and decreasing dependency on natural resources.
Due to this combination of materials, we also limit the necessary treatment to the materials including harmful dyes and the use of freshwater. As a new company, we are doing all we can to make our practices the most sustainable and only work with factories that align in valuing planet earth.
There is a lot of progress to be made and we’re constantly identifying what we have to work on to continue making the most sustainable clothes.
QUALITY
Building sustainable practices require designing products from a fully sustainable mindset.
For the fashion designers, sustainability starts with using leftover fabric as inspiration for next years designs, redesigning the cutting pattern to reduce scraps, and changing the small details which add up over time. Once the designs are created, the quality is hand tested so we know that each garment is capable of being worn, loved, and used for a lifetime. We hope you feel comfortable and confident that our fabrics are of the highest quality, and meant to be timeless designs to sustain a lifetime.
PARTICIPATION
Instead of producing an endless supply of clothes for our community, we require participation to engage with our products. Together we can fully connect the cycle of waste and reuse.
Our goal to achieve a more circular economy relies on educating and engaging people during the process, and we hope our clothing collection process helps us all achieve responsible consumption and circularity. The second piece of participation is in the community we are all building. Humans rely on a human connection to feel fulfilled, and we believe that when we participate together and build communities that have similar values, we can all live happier lives.
SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
We believe that sustainability is not only in the form of protecting the environment, but protecting society as well.
Our factory names, processes, and environmental impact are transparent and open for anyone to know where and how we produce each item.
Over time our partner Hallotex has developed a strong relationship with the management, individual employees, and the culture of the production companies. Every employee matters and we do all we can to be responsible and compassionate with every worker. We believe to have a sustainable world we have to support our workers. Sustainable production only works if every person believes in the product and works together to improve the lives of the employees, the consumer, and the planet.
